Art Therapy (ATR) Supervision

Newly graduated, Masters-level art therapists need 100 hours of clinical supervision, 50 of which must be done by a board-certified art therapist. It is my great honor to offer my 17+ years of experience to early career therapists, and my mission to do so in an accessible way.

Supervision sessions will be individualized according to one’s needs, particular worksite, and population, and I will empower supervisees to explore a robust, analytical, and creative professional path. I will assist with all paperwork, clinical considerations, and steps along the way to registration and board-certification.

Our work together can cover many areas and issues such as: balancing caseload and one’s own mental health; navigating colleagues who may not understand art therapy; clinical cases, clinical implications in artwork, and how to convey therapeutic goals to a multidisciplinary team; building a personal style in counseling and gaining confidence as a mental health professional; art technique and how to encourage creativity in resistant clients; trusting one’s own clinical instincts; addressing current politically fraught times within sessions; cultural awareness and allyship in the therapeutic relationship; and, of course, any and every concern an early stage art therapist may want to bring to session.

The ATR credential is a national certification, which allows me to work with clinicians in all states. We will track hours based on virtual meetings, as well as text- and email-communication. Following the awarding of one’s ATR, I also offer support and supervision during the process of preparing for the board-certification exam.

Individual Supervision is priced at $75/one-hour session.

Group Supervision is priced at $50/hourly-meeting.

Professional Consultation:

I am a board-certified art therapist with over a decade of clinical experience, much of which I have spent in collaboration with a team of mental health professionals. Art Therapy is a thriving field with many insights to offer other licensed professionals, and it is my pleasure to consult on clinical programming, treatment planning, art techniques to utilize in a clinical setting, and training for mental health workers.

$125/one-hour session.
